Bank holiday Monday
So monday was a bank holiday. Bonus day off work!
I texed Russ at about 10:30am to see if he wanted to meet up and when he didnt reply I called him but there was no answer.
I didn't really do much in the morning but Laura had a job interview at 1pm at Lee Cooper in the Lowry. Reece is an assistant manager there and he set her up with an interview.
Apparently it went really well and sounds like she has a good chance so fingers crossed.
As a going away present for Vicky, me and Laura were getting some photos printed from the digital camera to wallet sized so she could take them with her to Spain. I had made the photos using paint that morning and put them onto cd and it was my intention to swing over to the Trafford Centre to get them printed. When we left the Lowry I had hardly any petrol so we decided to head back to Sale to see if we could get them printed at Tescos instead. Big mistake. Todays Manchester United match finished just as we entered Old Trafford and we got stuck for ages. We were low on petrol and I really needed the toilet so it was a thoroughly unenjoyable journey. After about an hour we reached Stretford and since the traffic didnt look like it was going to clear anytime soon we headed into Stretford in the hopes of getting the photos printed there.
Just as we arrived at Stretford Russ texted me back to see if I still wanted to meet up but by that time I was ready to head back over to Warrington.
I went straight to McDonalds first to answer the call of nature but would you believe it, the toilets were closed. Fortunately there are public toilets in Stretford. BTW anyone who knows me probably knows that I have (or have something similar to) IBS. This means that if I need the toilet, I need the toilet and I wish this illness on no-one. It inteferes with your life on a daily basis and you cant truly appreciate how bad it is unless you have it.
Anyway, the only shop in the whole of Stretford Arndale Centre that was closed was Max Spielmann. To be fair, you could have seen that one coming a mile away.
Forunately there was a Boots in Stretford and using their "print your own" machine I got the photos done. (Although they were a lower resolution than I would have liked.)
We then went on to Sale where we picked up my Dad's birthday present (we are away in Spain on his birthday) and finally went back to my mum and dad's house where we handed over his present.
After Anya had been fed we went back home to Warrington and just chilled out for the rest of the day. I read some more of my book and then we watched some tv. After Laura went to bed I read some more of my book. Only have about 100 pages left and I want to finish it so I can get onto the next one.
