Mum and Dad

Forgot to mention, after the estate agents, me and Reece chatted for a little bit about stuff going on at home.
Dad has asked us all to join him for a meal (his treat - yes!) tonight and I was under the impression that it was a celebration for him finishing teaching full time or just a nice way for us all to get together but Reece thinks that there may be an ulterior motive from the way Dad asked him to be there.
I can't remember exactly what is was that he said but it was something along the lines of "I think we all need to get together and talk" or something like that.
Now there is quite a lot going on at my mum and dads house at the moment. My younger brother Kieran is going through some really bad times. Partly it's his fault and partly it's his girlfriend's fault. And to be fair, most of what is his fault is probably her fault as well if you trace it back.
Anyway, he has quite a lot of debt at the moment and my mum and dad are helping him out quite a bit but he is still not in a good situation. He is suffering from depression which is now being medicated and he is so unhappy.
The problem is that my mum has been taking a lot on board and (from what I understand) she can't really cope with it anymore. I get the impression that my dad wasn't really aware of this (mostly because he works so hard all the time) and this may have caused some minor problems between my mum and dad. However, they have just been away on holiday together and as far as I can tell they are 100% fine, if indeed they were ever not 100% fine.
Still, there is a lot going on with Kieran and there seems to be little we can all do. He has to pay off his debt on his own so that he learns a lesson from all of this but he is so depressed at the moment it's kind of scary.
So who knows. Tonight might just be a family get-together - a treat from my dad to us but with everything going on and with Reece saying what he did last night, now I'm not too sure.
