Sorry I havent posted in a while. I've been doing some work in Scotland so I havent been able to post but the upside is that I've been earning some extra money :-)
Nearly Christmas now! Hope everyone has got all their presents...

Anya

Just to let everyone know three things about Anya.
Firstly she has got her first tooth. It's only just broken the skin so it's not much to look at but I reckon she'll be eating steak before too long :-)
Secondly she has started crawling properly rather than dragging herself around on the floor - I haven't seen her doing this yet because Laura just called me while I was at work today but hopefully she'll still be doing it tonight.
Thirdly she has started pulling herself up into a standing position with the aid of the sofa. This means that she can support her own weight and as soon as she works out how to balance properly she will be able to walk! Unfortunately her balance is not good at the moment - she usually ends up falling over once she has pulled herself up but she's getting there.

Christmas party

So Saturday night was my work's christmas party.
We hired out the VIP area in Fat Cats in Manchester's Deansgate Locks which was really nice (if a little small). Free drinks and a buffet were the order of the day so it wasnt too late before I had drunk my share and headed off home.
I had a pretty good evening although I dont think I really click too well with a lot of the staff in our office so I find it quite difficult to socialise with them. It was interesting to see that Stuart was a completely different person without Yvette there (Stu and Yvette are an item). I am certainly not critisizing Stu, I suppose everyone is different around their partners to some extent but it was nice to see another side to him.
The rest of my weekend was fairly routine. Did some christmas shopping on Satuday. Unfortunately a quick stop in Fanboy3 turned into another purchase of a board game - the new Lord of the rings board game (War of the Ring).
Sunday I spent on the sofa recovering from Saturday night mostly reading book 5 of the Wheel of Time.

Thankyou to everyone who commented on my last post. I think I've done the right thing putting my blog back up and your comments reassured me of it.

The Amsterdam write up is still ongoing so watch this space.

I'm back baby yeah.

Well I still don't know who it was who brought my last blog to an end. I have eliminated a number of people who I thought it was and I'm still clueless so I can only presume that it was some random on the web who is such a loser that they get kicks from insulting people.
Nevertheless, I have started a new blog which will hopefully give no ammunition to people and that way I will know that any negative comments are to be ignored.
I am also changing my blog policy so that you have to sign up to be able to comment. My Grandad did this anyway on my last blog so there is really no excuse for not signing up and it allows me to at least try and reduce negative anonymous comments.
It is my intention to make my old blog available so you can read the archives at your leisure but I need to trawl through it first and remove anything that might cause offense.
Unfortunately it is the weekend now so I wont be able to let you know what I have been up to until next week but I hold true to my promise of recounting our trip to Amsterdam however long it takes for me to do it.
Anyway, sign up and post here so I know you are all back and I will start posting again next week.
