Parents
Funny thing just happened. I spoke to my dad at the weekend about doing a Heroes marathon tonight (Heroes totally rocks and my dad hasnt seen it yet). I called up to confirm but I guess it wasnt as solid a plan as I thought. We rearranged for tomorrow but I found myself feeling a little upset since I'd being looking forward to it.
I dont really spend much time with my dad anymore. We often go round to my mum and dads house but he isnt interested in playing games with us and usually spends time with the tv or on the web. I guess I saw Heroes as a way for us to spend a bit of time together and even though it's only been put back by one day it really hit me that we barely spend any time together at all.
I really like my dad. Not in a "he's a good dad" way (although he is a good dad) but more in a "this is someone I like, consider a friend and would like to spend more time with" way. He's a really funny, intelligent guy and is full of interesting conversation if you can rope him into a discussion.
I kind of wish he had more interest in playing games with us when we're at his house because it's not at all serious and much fun and it's a great way to be sociable with your family.
TTFN
p.s. I hope this post isn't interpreted in the wrong way. The internet can be an awful medium for expressing things. If you take anything from this post then take this: I love my dad and I wish we could spend more time together. Here's looking forward to Heroes tomorrow :-)

How nice that you think so much about and love your Dad, but he works very hard, so perhaps needs a bit of solitude, which I know all about.
I should think at times your Gran will think that perhaps I ought to spend more time with her, but I like some space to do my own things.
I am clad that you have started your Blog again Bren, you will also find that your old grandad has been messing about on the computer, and I have created a very amateur web-site,which is about farming of yesteryear. the web-site address is as follows

Love from Grandad
It's really good that you can express what you feel about your Dad - never be afraid to tell your girls how much you love them. It's very valuable. Your Dad loves you all so very much but finds it very hard to show this either verbally or physically.
