WoW

So I'm playing WoW again but this time it's Laura's fault!
Anyway, we're having good fun levelling new characters together (currently level 15) and we should be able to do our first instance soon. (An instance is usually done by 5 people working together and is a set piece that is a really great part of WoW)
Speaking of instances, I had a really great experience with a PUG on Sunday. There are two ways to do instances, either with your friends (which is almost always fine) or with random people who you meet at the time - this is known as a Pick Up Group or PUG.
PUG's are notoriously bad since there are a lot of very disagreeable people on WoW who will critisize you at any opportunity. I joined a PUG a week or two ago and left within 5 minutes (instances usually last at least an hour).
Anyway, on Sunday I was invited into a PUG. We had very little time since I had to do the reverse bungee but I thought I'd give it a go anyway. It went really well. We wiped (wiping is when you all die - it's majorly inconvenient and continuously wiping probably means you should give up) a couple of times but everyone was fine with it (wiping often causes blame to be cast and arguments to arise) and we worked as well together as a team as we could since we had only just met.
The final boss was tricky and we unfortunately wiped again just before finishing him. With the clock ticking we decided to try once more and defeated him for great victory!
It's at those times that I remember why I play WoW - it's not about levelling up or about acquiring nice items, it's about the great interactions between people :-)
